• FREE (9/12 – 9/13) on Kindle:  Otherworld by Jared C. Wilson (This doesn’t look like the typical Christian fiction, so if you’re game for trying something new or if you like this genre, this may be your kind of book.  I’m going to give it a try, it sounds different!)  Just always compare with God’s Word, fiction can get a little crazy sometimes and we realize it’s make believe, but never let it lead you to go against the Word of God.

I received some great news from Tyndale House Publisher this morning with some great FREE e-books.  Some start this week and some next week, so I’ll keep you informed about those next week.  I have also found some other great e-book deals I’m passing along.  I’m including the Kindle link to take you directly to the amazon site to “purchase” the book, but most of these books may be “on sale” on other e-readers too, so check your e-reader store and see if they are free or discounted. I also encourage you to click on the author’s name and you’ll be directed to their website/blog and you can get to know them better and find out about other books they’ve written.

I suggest the books by Priscilla Shirer…she’s an excellent Bible study teacher! What Are You Reading Today?

I thought it would be fun to see what all of my followers and anyone else who visits our blog is currently reading?  We might get some great ideas from each other!

Right now I’m actively reading, Blowing on Dandelions by Miralee Ferrell.  I’ll be publishing a review in the next few days I hope…things keep getting in my way of reading lately!  Not good!

I’m also reading, Sparkly Green Earrings by Melanie Shankle.  I was up in the middle of the night on Monday with my back hurting, so I pulled this book up on my kindle!  If it had been during the day I would have been laughing out loud (didn’t want to wake my hubby) and I had to have lots of tissues to wipe my eyes, because I was silently laughing so much I was crying…can’t wait to get back to this book! 🙂

And I’ve been slowing reading a great devotional book, Walking with Bilbo by Sarah Arthur.  If you are a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan like me, you’ll love this book of devotions.  I think I’m taking my time, because I don’t want to finish it.  I’m sure this will be one I’ll refer to again and again.

• FREE on Kindle:  Like A Watered Garden (The Garden Gate Series #1) by Patti Hill.  This is a fantastic series! So get this book while it’s free, you won’t regret it.  Our Women’s Book Club read the entire series!
• FREE on Kindle:  God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea: Experiencing God in the Midst of Everyday Moments by Rose Chandler Johnson.  Being Southern myself, I’m really drawn to sweet iced tea and this book sounds like it will be really good.  It has some great recommendations by Elizabeth Musser and Ann Tatlock.
• $1.99 on Kindle:  Sweet Caroline (A Lowcountry Romance #1) by Rachel Hauck.  This is a wonderful series.  In fact, anything by Rachel is great!
• $3.99 on Kindle:  The Measure of a Lady by Deeanne Gist.  She writes the most delightful historical romances! I’ve read several of her books and I have loved them all.
• $3.99 on Kindle:  No Safe Harbor (Edge of Freedom #1) by Elizabeth Ludwig.  You can read my review on our blog.  It’s a wonderful book and the sequel is just as good!

One book is especially dear to me, The House on Malcolm Street by Leisha Kelly, $3.99 on Kindle.  I have read all of her books and they are all excellent. As far as I know this was her latest book and I read it and totally loved it and when it ended I was hoping she would write a sequel to it one day.  But then I heard that both her and her son were killed in a car crash and I felt like the Christian fiction world had just lost one of there very special authors.  I don’t know anything else about the family she left behind but just seeing her book reminds me to pray for them.  Anyway, this book was excellent!  There are some other good books on the list, so I’ll let y’all look through the website and see if anything interests you.

• FREE on Kindle and Nook:  Elisha’s Bones (A Jack Hawthorne Adventure #1) by Don Hoesel.  I read this a couple of years ago and while it’s controversial and I don’t believe it could happen, it is fiction and it was an exciting mystery.
• FREE on Kindle and Nook:  Raising a Modern-Day Joseph: A Timeless Strategy for Growing Great Kids by Larry Fowler, he is the executive director of global training for the Awana program.
• 99¢ on Kindle:  Confessions of a Prayer Slacker by Diane Moody
• 99¢ on Kindle:  The Devil’s Game (A Fast-Paced Christian Fiction Suspense Thriller (A Reverend Buchman Thriller) by Daniel Patterson.  I haven’t read anything by this author and there were no reader reviews, but I’m a lover of suspense thrillers, so I may give this one a try.  But just always balance what you read with God’s Word. If anyone knows something about this author or book that I need to know about, please let me know.  Take advantage of the option on Amazon to read the first couple of chapters, I just did and I’m not too sure about it.  Just use your best judgement.
