booklovers1.wordpress.com is the blog that nominated us for our Liebester award and even though I mentioned them in my post “accepting the award” and linked to their site, I just wanted to make sure you all knew about them.
They do book reviews, devotionals, movie reviews, Christian music clips and much more! I follow her blog and love reading the book reviews (of course) and I’ve re-blogged a few of her posts before.
So, be sure to visit her at booklovers1.wordpress.com and read about the blog.
Wow! I just finished watching the most amazing movie. Unconditional. I ordered it for our Media Center and have just watched it and it will be available to check out by June 19, 2013.
For those of you who don’t come to our church, I highly recommend you either buy it or rent it. It’s on Netflix also. It is an amazing story of friendship, love, pain, loss, and God’s unconditional love for us!!!!

For those of you who are fans of Beverly Lewis‘s books, you know that her book, The Shunning, was was made into a movie directed by Michael Landon Jr. Now the long awaited sequel, The Confession, will be aired on the Hallmark Channel this coming Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 9pm. For those of you who missed, The Shunning, it will air directly before it at 7pm. Michael Landon Jr. always does a wonderful job of directing movies. I’ll have my DVR set to record both. Watch the trailers below:
This was awesome! The BEST history lesson I’ve ever heard. I was not taught this in school and I’m “an old person”, so I know that the younger generation are not being taught the truth about the Pilgrims and the reason they came to America and all they suffered through for our freedom today.
Kirk Cameron was excellent in this production and it was beautifully produced with fantastic quality. You will not get bored watching this documentary because Kirk is a great storyteller and the experts he interviews tell their part of the history lesson with excitement.
Everyone should watch this film. I wish it could be shown in public schools, because facts are facts, you can’t change history to suit your beliefs. And hearing the truth about the birth of our nation is awe inspiring.

Kirk did an extensive tour at the National Monument to the Forefathers at Plymouth, Massachusetts. I’d never heard of this place and the history of this monument is amazing.
We now have this DVD in our Media Center, so I hope that each and every member of our church will come and check this out and watch it alone, with their kids, grandkids, friends…whoever (or should it be whomever 🙂 ) …just watch it.
I searched for a trailer to include in this post about the movie and I came across a rap song by, IV His Son, and I thought I’d spice up your Friday by letting you watch it. Just sit back pat your feet, sway to the rhythm, or get up and do some moves yourself. It’s a well-done video.
I thought about just making a comment to my previous post on this epic miniseries, but decided to do it as a post so everyone would get it. One comment made to the original post, was to be careful about this movie and to go back to the Bible to read the real account. I just finished watching the first part from last night and I totally agree. It is a massive undertaking, to be sure, and the visuals are great. Although, I’m having a hard time with the accents…I never expected Noah to have an Irish accent (at least that’s what it sounded like to me). Anyway, I realize that there is no way for them to do a 10-part series about the entire Bible and get it all in, but I had hoped that what they did get in would be accurate. But just like any movie made from a book, this one is no different, and they have changed the stories to suit the movie. Maybe not much, but enough that if you know your Bible then you will recognize the difference.
One good thing I hope comes from this movie is that everyone pulls out their Bibles and starts reading the REAL STORY, in God’s own inspired words. God’s Word is so much better than this movie could ever be. So enjoy the movie, but realize that it is a very condensed version and some things have been changed. So after you watch the episodes, get your Bible out and read the actual account and all the stories in-between. You will be blessed!
This miniseries has been promoted for at least a year and now it’s just a week away. Beginning on 3-3-13 on The History Channel for 5 weeks we’ll be able to see a spectacular movie of the highlights of the Biblical events from Genesis to Revelation. The creators are the husband and wife team, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey (from Touched by An Angel). So set your DVR’s up for a series recording so you won’t miss a single episode. Just watch the trailer and see for yourself how spectacular it will be. Also, visit http://www.bibleseries.tv and http://thebibleminiseries.com to read more about it.
