Currently this book is in e-format only and it is $1.99 until February 16, 2013. If you like war-time, historical, suspense and romance books, then I’m sure you will enjoy this book. Following Allison and her family throughout the war trying to save their own paintings and other works of art from the Nazi’s was exciting. Seeing how she came to meet and fall in love with a British soldier, Ian, and all that happened to them for several years was wonderful. I never quite knew how it would turn out and even at the end, I can only hope there will be a sequel. This is a Christian novel, but I don’t think that it’s so overpowering that it would stop non-Christians from reading it. I liked how the author would have Scripture inspire the main characters and help them in their troubles. God is like that, always there to give us the strength to make it through events in our lives that we know we can’t handle on our own.
